12 Aug Jesus Likes to Knit
While worshipping Saturday night, I saw Jesus knitting. My first thought was, Jesus knits? And then I heard these words… “I knitted you while you were in your mother’s womb!” (Ps 139:13) “I knitted Jonathan to David” (1Sam. 18:1)
In Col.2:2 Paul exhorts us to be knitted together by strong ties of love, and to have complete confidence that we understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ. When my first child Joshua was born a lady from our church knitted him a blanket. It was warm and soft and filled with love. Love from the one who knitted it and love from the one who placed it over her son.Jesus is doing some knitting in heaven. This blanket or garment will be filled with love. Ask yourself the question, “What would Jesus knit for me in my life right now?” “How will I apply this gift of knitting from God?” May you sleep in peace knowing that you are covered with the knitted blanket of the Lord. Sleep well and DREAM!
